Claydon House, Buckinghamshire

a project sponsored by BP Oil UK Ltd

The Claydon House project also enabled participating schools (four from Buckinghamshire and two from Hertfordshire) to explore a range of cross-curriculum themes - historical, social, artistic, environmental.
The young people taking part (whose ages ranged from seven to thirteen) presented, through an opera-drama, the story of the house. Each school took a particular period and by weaving together historical fact, legend and fantasy told of the Verney family and the house in which they lived.
The house provided the starting point for the project.
